
THE LIFE AND TIMES OF Michael
Michael Francis was born on April 03, 1965, in Los Angeles, California, to William and Sydney Francis whom proceeded him in death. He grew up with his siblings, Terry Francis, and Edward Griffin Jr., in a loving and supportive family. Michael attended Ganesha High School in Pomona, California, where he excelled in academics, and later graduated in 1983.
Michael later joined the Army in 1990, where he received his Army Service Ribbon, a Marksman Badge specializing in rifle marksmanship, and lastly receiving his Sharpshooter certification badge.
Michael later moved to Santa Maria with Sydney and William, where he met and married Marilyn DeWitt in, who preceded him in death. To their union, they had one son, Milton Michael Francis, and two step-sons, Rudy and Romeo. Romeo, who also preceded him in death.
Legacy and Remembrance
Michael's life was marked by love, joy, and a spirit of service. He was a devoted son, caring brother, loyal friend, and loving husband. His radiant smile and positive energy left a lasting impact on everyone he met. Michael's legacy is one of kindness, integrity, and a commitment to making people smile wherever he went.
Michael is survived by his son, Milton Michael Francis, and siblings, Terry Francis, Edward Griffin Jr., and Edith Gillette, and many extended family members and friends. His memory will be cherished forever.

James “Kimo” Kauahi Werner Sr., age 78 of Salt Lake City, Utah took his leap to the other side of the veil for his eternal peace and rest on Friday, July 26, 2024. Born and raised on the island of Oahu, Hawaii and while residing in the states of Nevada and Utah, Kimo was into the gaming and hospitality industry. He was an independent soul living life as he saw fit and on his own terms. He loved the ocean and eating his fish and poi. He was loyal to his loved ones and as family we enjoyed our many family gatherings, vacations and time spent with him. He loved gardening, fishing, and long drives on the road. He loved the Casinos and Gambling was a Vocation he turned into his Vacation.
He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, brother, cousin, and friend. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Awaiting his return to the god who gave him life, was his loving wife of 58 years, Sweet Leilani Andrea Werner.
Also greeting him on the other side of the veil were his loving parents: Mary Halaki Werner and James Kauahi along with his brothers Calvin Nunu Werner (Barbara), Barney Kauahi Werner and sister Ewalani Jamary Werner Combs (David).
Kimo is survived by his daughters: Andrea “Honey Babes” Brack (Michael), Precious Scalf (Uriah) and Adria “Tunnie” Werner. Sons: Leslie “Ipo” Werner, Jesse Kauahi Werner (Sharko), and James “Fato” Werner Jr. (Jill) and Hanai Keiki: Aliiyah Leilani Werner. Kimo is also survived by Sisters: Laurinda Leiaulani Cano, Leonae Keala Rodrigues (Gary Sr.) and Brothers: Charles P. Mahuka Jr. (LeeAnn) and John Ahlo and Cousin: Thurston Keali’iokealoha Werner (Elizabeth).
Grandchildren: Desiree Werner-Rivera, Le’chelle “Tita” Taylor (Allen), Jimmy “Ipo” Werner, Moloka’i Werner.
Grace Horswill (Jameson), Michael “Tubby G” Brack jr., Emma Elaine Naihe (Ihe), Jhamez “Handsome” Brack, and
Jhulz “Pretty Babe” Brack. Primrose “Shyla” Werner-Scalf and Luxor Scalf. Jesse, Sharnelle, Maui and Jessica Werner, Madison Werner, Sammy “Kalei” Werner. James “Kauahi” Werner III, Federick “Kekoa” Werner, Jesse and James Werner, Jacob, and Jason Werner. Andrea “Boom Boom” Werner.
Great Grandchildren: Aliiyah, Amiiyah, Ashtyn (Turtle), Ayden Werner. Ha’aheo, He’enalu, Hi’ilani and Ho’onanea Taylor. Eleanor and Charlotte Horswill. Madisyn and Michael “Kawai” Brack III.
