Joyce Marie Valmore

December 28, 1946 - March 14, 2021

Joyce Marie Valmore passed away on March 14,2021 at the age of 74. Born in Lake Village, Arkansas, Joyce (referred to as 'Ree" by her siblings) moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in her early teens, and has resided there ever since . Joyce graduated from Western High School in it's second graduating class. She was a longtime employee of the Clark County School District, and was actually the longest tenured employee at the time of her passing. Over the years, she built numerous lasting relationships with coworkers at William Orr, Jr. High, Lois Craig, Mountain View, and J.M. Ullom Elementary Schools. 

A bit of a workaholic, Joyce took pride in helping the staff at her school do the best work that they could. She even made it a priority to try get payroll out in her final days...that's dedication! Beside working, Joyce loved to cook, and try different foods, and work in her garden. Her Love for fishing might have been her greatest passion; Joyce would be willing to cast out her rod at the drop of a dime no matter if it was hot, cold, or even in a thunderstorm (except when the lightning comes...but that's another story). She beamed with pride at the mention of her grandkids, as they were her pride and joy.

Joyce was always know for making other people smile, and offering words of encouragement whenever she could lend a hand. Known for her generosity, she would often cook meals for those who were sick, or provide financial help to those in need when she could. She has touched many lives within her lifespan, and has definitely made the world a better place. Raising three son on her own was daunting task, however, she excelled at it became the best mom EVER!!!
