Karen Maria Ramalho was born in London, England on April 20, 1972 to Mona Rodriguez and Clive Ramalho who immigrated from South America.
She spent the first six years of her life in London. She was a very outgoing, funny and friendly kid. You could always find Karen talkin to the neighbors and asking a lot of questions.
Our family moved to the United States when she was just six years old. It was a challenging transition for all of us. We remember being bullied on the playground in California for our British accents.
Karen was a twin and a little sister at different stages of our lives. Paul, our brother knew here was trouble when the two of us showed up. My mom relied on him at an early age to = feed and take care of us. He reluctantly took the job but always made sure we were ok.
Karen definitely stood out. She was tall, smart and beautiful.
She really had it all!
Although grand in stature, Karen was the kindest and most gentle soul.
Karen loved music. She shared this love with our father, who was a musician and came rom a musical family. Their love for music bonded them in a different kind of way. Karen always had the best relationship with our dad. They loved jazz!
We always believed with her loud voice, she should have been an opera singer, lol.
Karen attended grade school at St. John's Catholic School where she enjoyed being a member of the drill team and playing tetherball. She graduated from St. Bernard's High School in Los Angeles, California in 1990.
Karen has always had a strong connection to Las Vegas. She attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, then returned to California and attended California State University, Northridge and graduated with a degree in Health Administration in 1995. While attending college, Karen worked full-time as an assistant to the president of the university.
After graduation, Karen became a real estate agent. Her work ethic was one of her many admirable qualities. She was a very responsible and driven entrepreneur.
She never let coloror any other issue get in the way of achieving her goals.
As a young agent, Karen struggled to make a name for herself, Despite the many Challenges that she faced, she persevered. Karen had the highest aspirations and standards.
She set goals that most people would be afraid to dream of.
Caren always cared about her paper!! She was a multi-million dollar agent in real estate for Berkshire Hathaway and Keller Williams. She sold the land for the Betty Ford Clinic, a multi-million dollar listing and the biggest at that time in her evolving career! Karen received countless awards and accolades
Karen attended Agape International Spiritual Center in Los Angeles and SEAS in Las Vegas,
Karen was predeceased by her father, Clive Ramalho in 2016. Karen lives on through her mother, Mona Ramalho, her brother, Paul Ramalho, her twin-sister, Katrina Ann Ramalho, and her best friend and sister, Jessica Francis.
