Renalda Ray (Renie) Filbin Wittig passed away peacefully with family by her side on November 7th in Henderson NV after a lengthy illness. Renie was born February 27th, 1958, in Minden Nebraska during a snowstorm and was raised in Heartwell and Kenesaw Nebraska graduating from high school in 1976. She attended Hastings Community College and worked at the Plainsman in Juniata NE until embarking on a new chapter of her life, moving to Las Vegas NV in 1979. In Vegas Renie first worked for Hughes Aviation as a "Red Carpet Hostess" and then as a dispatcher and finally in payroll at Hughes. While at Hughes Aviation Renie met her lifelong friend and adopted sister, Brenda Davidson who has shared many memories of Renie. Renie also bartended for several years and worked at Dan's Plant World until it closed. Her last employment was 15 years at Smith's Grocery in Henderson before she was sidelined with health issues in 2021. Renie was a fireball of energy and spunk. She used to say, "Dynamite comes in small packages". She was a hard worker and would always step in and take that extra shift. Renie loved watching old reruns like Matlock, Bonanza, NCIS etc. She also loved playing Yahtzee and other board or card games. She had a fun spirit and loved spending time with her friends and family. Renie is survived by her husband of 23 years, Bill Wittig, her sister's Brenda Davidson of Las Vegas, Angela Butterfield (Mark) and Bianca Wiley (Loyd) of Austin TX and nieces Michaela Wiley, Leah Butterfield, Sarah Filbin Hasley, Alanna Filbin Smith and nephew Tanner Wiley. She is preceded in death by her mother, Phylis Filbin (Jerry), father Maurice Filbin and brothers, Terry, Tony and Tom Filbin.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a date to be determined.
