Annie Handy

Annie Bell Handy was born on 12 April 1941, to he late West Richard & Hazel Richard in Tallulah, Louisiana. September 1943 they relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada.

Annie was the 3rd of four children. She was raised in strangers Home Baptist church to the late Reverend J.L. Simmons where she worked on the usher board as jr. usher until Stranger Home became St. James Baptist Church. She served in this capacity spiritually. God blessed St. James MBC. Annie remained loyal and very committed in faith under the leadership of the late Reverend Donell Horn Sr., the founder and pastor of New Revelation MBC. She later joined Israelite COGIC under Paster Jesse Moore; Until her passing she attended New Beginning under the leadership of Pastor Bobby Smith. 

Annie was employed by Bally's hotel for over 30 years. With the love she had for children she retired and became a crossing guard. She was loved by everyone in the neighborhood and everyone loved to come to 301 and enjoyed her being the neighborhood candy lady.

Annie went home to be with God late Wednesday night 10 July 2019 at her home.
