John Edward Vuaghn Jr. enters the fates of heaven on December 13. 2021, at the age of forty-six. He was born in Detroit, MI, the youngest of two children to John Edward (who proceeded him in death) and Betty Vaughn Sr. He was a jovial child who often made his family laugh with his cute sayings, silly jokes and harmonica playing. John loved to talk. Growing up his sister would often bet him five dollars to be quiet for just one hour/ John always lost.
John was diagnosed with Sickle Cell Anemia Disease when he was two years old, however that never stopped his shine or ambition. he was a good student. graduating with honors from Redford High School in 1993. John was a hard worker. He always had a side hustle. Often stating, "If it don't make dollars, it don't make sense!" After high school he worked various positions before serving as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Hospice of Michigan for ten years. The families he served loved him! In 2006, he enrolled at Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts, gaining a passion for audio-video engineering. That decision impacted his life tremendously.
In 2007, he founded and became CEO of his own company Not Your Battle Productions. he did well in Detroit but knew he could do even better if he relocated his family to Henderson, NV. There he quickly gained experience and knowledge in the entertainment industry leading to a production position for the famous Michael Jackson or MJ1 show and later and audio-video engineering supervisor at the T-Mobile arena. John's colleagues often became his close friends consistently spoke highly of him as a professional and an upstanding person anyone would enjoy meeting and getting to know.
John accepted Christ at an early age, attending Christian Community Baptist Church in Detroit, MI. There he participated in numerous auxiliaries throughout his life, such as the youth choir and audio ministry. Upon his relocation to Henderson, NV, he with his family, joined Life Springs Christian Church in Las Vegas, NV. He was also a part of the audio-video ministry there. Everyone at both churches loved John's jubilant personality.
John truly did love life and live it well! His radiant energy would fill a room and permeate the hearts of everyone who knew him. His children meant the world to him. He was an outstanding father.
